FISH Slide Scanning – Multi-Channel Fluorescence Imaging

HEIDSTAR | 2024-12-26 Multi-probe FISH signals imaged by a HEIDSTAR multispectral fluorescence scanner

Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) uses fluorescent probes to locate specific DNA or RNA sequences. Reading FISH slides needs several fluorescence channels and sharp focus through the specimen.

HEIDSTAR multispectral fluorescence scanners HDS-MSCAN-60FN (60 slides) and HDS-MSCAN-4FN (4 slides) combine brightfield with 5-color high-power LED fluorescence, upgradable to 7 colors or a laser light source. A monochrome 5 MP camera (optional color or dual camera), auto focus and multi-layer (Z-stack) scanning capture weak multi-probe signals automatically. The HDS-MSCAN-4FN reaches 0.25 µm/pixel at 20X.
